Can anyone direct me to a d/l for a tech manual to replace the port.
I've worked on computers but never a laptop.
I know they are crammed together and I don't want to open a can of worms.
Thanks,
jpd
Hi and welcome to the WTT forums.
If you are experienced at soldering components on PCB's and are aware of all the precautions you need to take then have a look here for the service manual for your machine. http://www.martini-man.com/pub/manuals/OMN…206100%20SM.pdf
However it's quite possible to completely ruin a motherboard when replacing the power jack unless you exercise great care (I'm assuming it's the power jack on the mobo you are intending to replace) so you will need reasonable electronic component/soldering skills…. and the correct equipment.
Good luck with the repair.
