voice and data cabling

really new to networking and need some help, pleese. I want to run data and voice in my network. Can I use cat 6 for both? Do I need two diffferent drops( two cables), or will one do both. Which would be the best way to get both voice and data cable to my desktop from the server room. Any ideas. Thanks for all your help.

Wow.. You've asked some pretty complicated questions for being so new to networking. There really isn't a simple answer to this question. Matter of fact, I can't even begin to answer the question appropriately because you haven't provided any information about the phone system you are using.
