hi , i have a dell inspiron 1525 on vista.
for some reason, it tells me my webcam is not connected , i know it has been , but is no longer….
when i go on webcam manager it says no webcam is plugged in , but its intergrated???????????
does anyone know why, and how i can connect it again??
thankyou
Only thing I can think of is to uninstall the web cam, then reboot, the hope is it will re-associate the connections required.
Click in Start - Control Panel - Device Manager, go down the list and expand the web cam entry by clicking on the + to the side of it, then right click on the entry(s) inside there and select uninstall, it will probably want to reboot after that, if not reboot anyway, when the system comes back it should pick it up as a new device, allow\tell the wizard to auto install it and with luck that will get things working again, hope this helps.
hi , i can't actually find webcam in the list?
would it be under something i've looked in computer hardwear…..
thankyou for your help its appreciated !!!
Then if it isn't showing it suggests it's already been uninstalled, best advice currently is go to the makers site of your system, and download and install the latest driver(s) available, one hopes it will be as simple as just reinstalling the driver again.
