I have installed Adobe cs4 on my pc it was working fine wen i had to do a system restore on my pc because of some unknown msn messsanger error, once system restore was compleete i tried opening up after fx an error came up so i thought , allow me getting into the hassle of figuring it out i will uninstall adobe cs4 but it would not uninstall so i tried vice versa installation didnt work either it stopes half way or the uninstallation box disappears
is there a way of Psysically removing this software from the PC and neva to be seen again?
Probably the easiest way to handle this is to do another System Restore back to after you installed Adobe CS4, then uninstall it, then if necessary, System Restore back to where you are now.
Otherwise you can use Revo Uninstaller to get rid of it for you.
ive tried doing system restore at least 3 times but not the time i used adobe that is wen i reinstalled it wen i first formated, but let me try revo uninstaller and see how it goes
it did not remove the file and it removed the actual file logo that was on the uninstallation programme now i cant see what i have to uninstall :|
cant i just find all the adobe folders and hit delete ?
thats what i am trying to say, i tried uninstalling once but the the progress bar just stops and disapears i tried reinstalling it but it freezes, then i tried using revo uninstaller it removed all the files from registery etc but for some reason i still have the applications on start up menu and desktop and if i double click it , it opens fine ????
btw i did that adobe link as well but i keep getting this message for some reason?
Look on your boot drive under Program Files, see if there is a folder for Adobe CS4. If yes, delete it, but I suspect Revo already did that for you.
You can give Regseeker a try, use it's Clean the Registry option. Click the OK button. When it completes, click on Select at the bottom and pick Select all green items. Make sure the Backup before delete box is checked, then click on Action and Delete selected items.
That should get rid of all entries in the registry that point to files and folders that no longer exist, like Adobe CS4. If there are any problems after that, you can start Regseeker again and use the Backup option to restore what you deleted.
i fixed it dont know how but i fixed it………. the ideas was to install it then uninstall it but i had to install it first because i have messed up the uninstalltion files trying to remove the dayam thing.
as adobe support center said run the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility install that then run the Adobe CS4 Clean Script , but only do this as a last resort or you can try it at the first stage up to you. i have used all the uninstallation softwares etc and still funnyly enough the programmes were still able to load but it would not let me uninstall and install for some reason. "first i thought it needed more ram because wen i took 2 gbs out i started to see the problem because i had to do a system restore so do not know what the fault was there". but anyways.
THIS IS WHAT I DID
RUN windows installer cleanup utility, and select all the ADOBE FILES and clean them up or remove them.
Then run the Adobe CS4 CLEAN script, it should say nothing found or no files found etc.
Give it a couple of seconds and then run the installation software again. and it should run smoothly.
and thank you zTruker you are a star mate " its the modern world text jargon is everywhere"
