My laptop seems to run very slow when running certain programs and I have noticed in task manager that they also tend to have 80%+ CPU Usage.
The main processes that have this problem are:
java.exe
wmplayer.exe
steam.exe
And various other ones like MSN Messenger, Photoshop, Sony Vegas. My computer runs fine when just using other programs like Mozilla FireFox, but as soon as one of those other programs comes on, the mouse starts lagging around, and the program does not run smoothly.
Edit: I am fairly sure it is not malware related as 'Dakeyras' helped me here: http://malwareremoval.com/forum/viewtopic….=11&t=44998 and we did a number of scans which did not find anything. Although it did speed up my laptop a bit.
