I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop running Windows XP Home SP2. Sometimes it just slows for no reason. When I bring up the task manager it shows taskmgr.exe is using around 20% cpu usage. When everything ifs fine it is around 2%. I have been checked in the malware section of this forum and my computer is clean. What could be causing this?

It occurs randomly maybe 2 or 3 times per week. In the evenings is when I use this computer the most. I can't pinpoint any one specific activity that I am doing when it happens. It lasts until I reboot.

The ones I highlighted seemed different between the 2 logs. When it happened this time I was not doing anything the computer was just sitting idle with no open windows.
