Hey there, im back again with my brother's laptop which ive gotten from him now (it's a dell xps M1710). Running windows xp SP2 When booting up the computer it shows weird letters all over the screen (tons of á's everywhere on the screen). I just formated it (with my video card drivers installed it gives a BSOD and graphic errors in windows). I uinstalled the video drivers and now windows runs fine without any flaws. If needed i can record (with my cellphone( when booting up the computer to let you see how it looks like I dont have a clue what is wrong with the computer so here's a hijack log and hopefully you can see something from it :) Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 13:49:27, on 30.07.2009 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Boot mode: Normal Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\EvtEng.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\S24EvMon.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\WLKeeper.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\bin\btwdins.exe C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\ekrn.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\mdm.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\RegSrvc.exe C:\Program Files\SigmaTel\C-Major Audio\WDM\stsystra.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\bin\ZCfgSvc.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\ifrmewrk.exe C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\GrooveMonitor.exe C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\egui.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe C:\Program Files\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe C:\Program Files\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\BTTray.exe C:\PROGRA~1\WIDCOMM\BLUETO~1\BTSTAC~1.EXE C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\Dot1XCfg.exe C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe O2 - BHO: AcroIEHelperStub - {18DF081C-E8AD-4283-A596-FA578C2EBDC3} - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroIEHelperShim.dll O2 - BHO: Groove GFS Browser Helper - {72853161-30C5-4D22-B7F9-0BBC1D38A37E} - C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office12\GRA8E1~1.DLL O2 - BHO: Påloggingshjelp for Windows Live - {9030D464-4C02-4ABF-8ECC-5164760863C6} - C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live\WindowsLiveLogin.dll O3 - Toolbar: DAEMON Tools Toolbar - {32099AAC-C132-4136-9E9A-4E364A424E17} - C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Toolbar\DTToolbar.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IMJPMIG8.1] "C:\WINDOWS\IME\imjp8_1\IMJPMIG.EXE" /Spoil /RemAdvDef /Migration32 O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PHIME2002ASync] C:\WINDOWS\system32\IME\TINTLGNT\TINTSETP.EXE /SYNC O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PHIME2002A] C:\WINDOWS\system32\IME\TINTLGNT\TINTSETP.EXE /IMEName O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NVHotkey] rundll32.exe nvHotkey.dll,Start O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SigmatelSysTrayApp] %ProgramFiles%\SigmaTel\C-Major Audio\WDM\stsystra.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IntelZeroConfig] "C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\bin\ZCfgSvc.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IntelWireless] "C:\Program Files\Intel\Wireless\Bin\ifrmewrk.exe" /tf Intel PROSet/Wireless O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTTask.exe" -atboottime O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Adobe Reader Speed Launcher] "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\Reader_sl.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GrooveMonitor] "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\GrooveMonitor.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [egui] "C:\Program Files\ESET\ESET NOD32 Antivirus\egui.exe" /hide /waitservice O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [DAEMON Tools Lite] "C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -autorun O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MsnMsgr] "C:\Program Files\Windows Live\Messenger\msnmsgr.exe" /background O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [uTorrent] "C:\Program Files\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe" O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-19\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\system32\CTFMON.EXE (User 'LOCAL SERVICE') O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-20\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\system32\CTFMON.EXE (User 'NETWORK SERVICE') O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\system32\CTFMON.EXE (User 'SYSTEM') O4 - HKUS\.DEFAULT\..\Run: [CTFMON.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\system32\CTFMON.EXE (User 'Default user') O4 - Global Startup: BTTray.lnk = ?
