Hello there I first just wanted to thank you oh so very much for spending your time trying to help me, you guys are cyber angels. Anyway My laptop is completely infected with a plethora of insane bugs and I was wondering if you could help me erase the bad/currupt files. I would be eternally grateful. I installed Hijackthis and here is my log:

This looks fun !!

Few things for you

Before we begin, you should save these instructions in Notepad to your desktop, or print them, for easy reference. Much of our fix will be done in Safe mode, and you will be unable to access this thread at that time. If you have questions at any point, or are unsure of the instructions, feel free to post here and ask for clarification before proceeding.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
    (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum.

Please download FixWareout from here:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log

If you have internet connection problems then do the following :

Please go to Start -> Control Panel, and choose Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually Local Area Connection or Dial-up Connection if you are using Dial-up, and left click on properties. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio button that says Obtain DNS servers automatically. Click OK twice, and restart your computer.

Before we begin, you should save these instructions in Notepad to your desktop, or print them, for easy reference. Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.
Well when I tried to run RunThis.bat the computer shuts it down automatically. I don't even have time to type Y into the program. I'm now trying to install FixWareout. I tried to get runthis.bat to work in safemode, safemode with networking and in regular mode and none of them seem to work. thanks
Ok snap this is bad, I just tried to run FixWareout and it seemed to be working untill it restarted. When My computer rebooted there was no text report. Nothing popped up. I tried running fixwareout through safemode and regular mode and neither gave me a report.txt I am now trying to run SmitfraudFix thanks
Oh deary me, So I tried to run SmitfraudFix and it popped up run.. screen that had a dark red background and it said press any key to continue… so I did and then it dissapeared and I never saw it again. I looked in task manager and it wasn't running. It just closed itself out. I tried it in Safemode, Safemode with networking and in regular mode. My comp is f'd. Please if there is anything else we can do let me know, or tell me what I'm doing wrong because the operator is most likely the biggest problem. Thanks again
Try this in normal mode

Please visit this web page for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

This includes installing the Windows XP Recovery Console in case you have not installed it yet.

For more information on the Windows XP Recovery Console read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058.

Once you install the Recovery Console, when you reboot your computer, you'll see the option for the Recovery Console now as well. Don't select Recovery Console as we don't need it. By default, your main OS is selected there. The screen stays for 2 seconds and then it proceeds to load Windows. That is normal.

Post the log from ComboFix when you've accomplished that, along with a new HijackThis log.
Ok the weirdest thing happend. The windows xp recovery console seemed to not be working because it never scanned anything it just went to a screen that said a file was missing and then it just sat there…for hours. I left it on overnight and it still did nothing. So then I tried a different mode of the windows recovery console and I did a couple of other things and then walla the desktop just appeared out of nowhere. I had previously been accessing everything throught the task manager.
Anyway I was then able to run SDfix and smitfraudfix and so here are both of there reports and a new hijackthis report:
