desktop shortcut

how do I put a shortcut on the desktop to do the following? call firefox or IE8 that opens another web site. like c:programfiles/mozilla/firefox/www.verizon.com/fios Thanks for any help

Hi bdgranpa Easiest way is to click and hold on the icon to the left in the adress bar, and then just drag and drop the shortcut directly on desktop. Should work for both FireFox and IE. Rightclicking on your desktop, and selecting "new shortcut", and then type your addy, should also work. regards
