I am working on a computer that has Vista installed. It's an HP computer. Driving me nuts!
I have several problems…..
1. System Restore point does not work, get an error 0x0070032
2. Firewall errors out when I try to turn it on.
3. Can not get network connection to work. I can see NIC in device manager but if I try to make a new connection I get errors.
4. Get an error at startup "Windows Explorere has stopped working", I got around this for now by disabling everything in the startup under the msconfig.

Below is the hijack log.

Hello wyocomputer

Welcome to the Whatthetech Malware Removal Forum,

All advice given by anyone volunteering here, is taken at your own risk.
While best efforts are made to assist in removing infections safely, unexpected stuff can happen.

You can try this as it appears the LSP stack that makes up your connection to the internet is corrupted.

If you dont have the run command, its not installed by default in Vista this this will show it

1. Right click on the Vista start menu and click Properties.
2. In the properties window select the Start Menu tab and click Customize.
3. Scroll down and tick the box to the side of Run Command. Click OK and now you can see Run Command in the start menu.

1. Click on Start button.
2. Type Cmd in the Start Search text box.
3. Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow elevation request.
4. Type netsh winsock reset in the Command Prompt shell, and then press the Enter key.
5. Restart the computer.
