Macs

Hi, I just got a PowerMac G3 with OS 8.5 (or something just under 9 - which I'll upgrade), and I was wondering if there's software I can download to protect it from malware, spyware, hijacks, etc… Someone told me there's not that much stuff out there for Macs anyway, but I can't help feeling paranoid. Thanks.
