Microsoft .NET Framework error

I get the following error every time I log onto my compuer. The error started occurring after the last automatic Microsoft update. I tred reloading the .NET 3.5 SP1 version again but still received the error. I have a brand new Windows Vista PC. Well, the interesting thing is that the error seems to be related to a program actually trying to connect to the internet but not being able to. The only thing I saw that provided a clue to what it was suggested a scrabble game. Are you aware of a scrabble game that is installed on your computer? If so, I would say it may not be a .NET problem at all, but rather the scrabble game's problem. You could try to uninstall and reinstall that. Get back to me on this, because I don't want you to do in-depth removal and repair of .NET unless it is necessary.

I do have a Scrabble game installed but it is on my hard drive. There is no need to it to access the internet. Is there a way that I can turn that off? Thanks so much!

You may first uninstall it… At which point, if it fixes your problem or not, you may try to reinstall it.

Thank you so much! Issue resolved. It turns out that it was the "groupmanager.exe" file that was causing the error. Even when I uninstalled Scrabble, that file was still running. Once I disabled and deleted it, I stopped getting the error. Thank you so much for your help (again!) Casi

Good… I'm glad that you were able to resolve the problem. I saw that it was the groupmanager.exe file, but because I didn't know what its purpose was I targeted the scrabble game which it is apparently a part of. The easiest solution would've been to disable that particular file in startup as you did. I wanted to make sure your game was functioning properly first, and reinstalling it was the best thing to try first. Anyways, good work.

I forgot to say that "Ethernet Controller" from my "Device Manager" is missing.. i don't know why, could it be the problem ?
