Hello and thanks in advance to anyone that may have a solution to my problem! Ok, here it is: I downloaded a complete collection of custom fonts from dafont.com, pretty simple in theory. I have worked with adding custom fonts to the font directory in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts many times before, and I figured just getting the whole lot of them in one-fell-swoop would be easier then constantly sorting through the cumbersome menu at the dafont website all the time. Anyways, I unzipped the font collection pack into the C:\WINDOWS\Fonts folder like always, and none of the new editions showed up in the folder under any view. Knowing I did in fact put them there, and they didn't just disappear, I had a hunch that they might show up if I ran a search for them looking specifically for .ttf files in that folder. Go figure, after about 3 hours of my comp searching that directory it found the fonts I could see, plus about 11500 of the ones that I had unzipped into there which managed to magically disappear. Here is the problem, they show up each one as being individually zipped still (why, I don't know???), which could explain why they are invisible in the normal directory view and unreadable to any font utilizing program I have. I can't unzip them as a group and I also can't realistically go through and unzip all 11500 of them one at a time either (I am assuming at this point getting them to work is a lost cause). However, they are sitting in that directory doing nothing but taking up a fairly large chunk of memory. I did try to delete them, but the whole search slows my computer down to a near stall and I can't delete them as a group, but again I can't realistically go through all 11500 of them one by one either. Is there any suggestion for a solution to this mess? It's not urgent but more annoying then anything. I would appreciate anything you guys might offer. Thanks again, -Calen
Hello Calen,

Just as a first responder you might try a system restore to a point prior to this download.

start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore
After a quick google search, it looks like a program called Extractnow might be exactly what you're looking for (this is if you still want the fonts extracted)
It can extract multiple zips at the same time, and (I think) it can delete them afterwards.
Anyway, here's the link

(Erm, is this considered advertising? I hope not, it is a free program, after all)
