Hello!

Hi, I joined the site around 4:30AM this past Satuday after searching the internet for help with my laptop. I have recently returned to college (grad school) after a 25+ year hiatus and was in the middle of putting finishing touches on a 22 page term paper when my system froze. Abilty to do term papers on a computer is great, except when the computer stops working. Hoping to get help here. Had to give the "dog ate my homework" laptop crash story to my professor today and will be losing a letter grade for each day it is late. :-( What can I do? *&%@ happens! Thank goodness I have a desktop that is still working (albeit slowly) so I am able to join this group and hopefully get some help. This site is a Godsend. Thank you all for what you do.

As you have posted in the HJT forum on 5th April, it is now a patient wait for a specialist in Malware to reply.

Please be patient as there are many more logs to reply to than specialists to do the voluntary work involved. They are all volunteers, and do have real jobs and families which of course take priority.

If you have not had a reply in 5 days, please post a gentle reminder here

Thanks for the greeting. I think you may have me confused with another poster as I did not post a Hijack log on 4/5. Don't know how to do that with no internet access. To your other point about patience, I definitely have that and am glad to wait my turn as I understand all who assist are volunteers. I am grateful to have found the site.

Here is the link that you posted in the HJT forum. I realise you did not actually include a log with that post, but I am not permitted to help you here in this forum until a specialist in Malware contacts you about your post in the above link.

An Administrator may come by to guide you further with your issue. I understand you are using your PC, but still I am unable to assist you at this time.

Could you also give more detail of the problem with your Laptop in this thread so you can be assisted further. Follow the link in my signature Useful link before posting to supply the information needed. The detail is in the Malware thread, but we are not permitted to reply to it as we here in the Tech forum are not specialists in Malware.
