Just looking for some imputs as to what many folks use or what they think is the best combo of scanning for Malware, Virus, Spyware, what nots. Just looking for info of tips of what you think is the best to use. Here is what I use: AdAware 2008 SpyBot Search & Destroy Malwarebytes Anti-Malware AVG 8.0 other if needed are: CCleaner ATF-Cleaner Smithfraudfix Vundo Fix

These are a great combination, however, make sure that you do not have Malwarebytes', Ad-Awares' and Spybots' Real-time protection enabled at the same time or they will conflict with each other.


ATF-Cleaner is a good tool to have, I use it every day to clean up old junk/temp files.


Smithfraudfix and Vundo Fix should only be used when you have an infection, and are told to use it by a Malware Team member, or however is helping you.


You can also consider adding a free firewall as well, such as
Online Armor or Sunblet Personal Firewall.

Thanks, aye been busy for a while working on Pc's here in my shop and had not a chance to do much reading. Thanks for all the tips and info you listed. Reason I was asking these are the tools I use to scan pc's of infections and as always looking for better info or combo of tools to use to fight infections.

As each of your team members know things are always changing and it takes a lot of work on each of your parts to keep up, not sure of how many times you and the other team members are given thanks. But I would like to Give thanks to you and all the members who put in lots of hours helping folks, yall are doing a great job. Keep it up.
