IE7 will not work

I have the same problem. I started right after I got vista's updates. I rebooted and IE would not work. So I thought the net was down. I soon relized that it was only IE. I sent myself firefox over the network, and it worked fine. I have been useing it for the past week or so. Today I found that if I boot in network safe mode then IE works. So I did a system restore to about a week ago. IE worked again because it restored my system to before the updates. Once again I had to install the updates. Onces again IE wont work. IF anyone know the answer please let us know. I hope microsoft is working on a fix.....
