Hi, mikicejames485.

check register email then login

I did not made any email registration along the installation. The reason why I bought Windows 10 Pro was exactly because that was the version who promised more liberty and control from the user's part. To inform any "registration email", google acount, etc, to me would frontally run against this. It shouldn't be necessary; if any email was mandatory, the games shouldn't run the by the first installation.

...Why a fresh reinstall would erase any system components? That's awkward.

I remember, back int the XP dauys, that if you had any error/broken system file in the Windows folders, you could replace it by a specific Control Panel option using your retail cd windows copy. I did that many times. You could even inform the system whaty kind of file you would replace. It was just like copying a dll or a driver, you pointed where the file was (cd drive), then ta-da. I don't know why we shouldn't be able to do the same in Windows 10.

You can using the DISM and SFC commands:

Try running these in order from a Elevated Command Prompt:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
SFC /scannow

If any errors, rum them again.
