Hi, I have no computer symptoms, but did a periodic Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware run and found the files below:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mrxdavv.sys (Rootkit.Agent.H) -> No action taken.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\kwave.sys (Trojan.Agent) -> No action taken

After clicking delete and letting MBAM reboot they reappear. I found a topic with a similar problem and did the suggested ATF Cleaner/MBAM/ComboFix but they show up after ComboFix deletes. Any ideas?

Here is my HijackThis Log:

Hi , welcome to the forum.

Please be advised, as I'm still in training, all my replies will have to be approved by a teacher or expert before I can post them. This may cause some delays, but I will do my best to keep them as short as possible.

To make cleaning this machine easier
  • Please do not uninstall/install any programs unless asked to
    It is more difficult when files/programs are appearing in/disappearing from the logs.
  • Please do not run any scans other than those requested
  • Please follow all instructions in the order posted
  • All logs/reports, etc.. must be posted in Notepad. Please ensure that word wrap is unchecked. In notepad click format, uncheck word wrap if it is checked.
  • Do not attach any logs/reports, etc.. unless specifically requested to do so.
  • If you have problems with or do not understand the instructions, Please ask before continuing.
I will post back soon with additional instructions.

Thanks
Hi mlawre,

We'll have a little deeper look.

Please download Rooter.exe to your desktop
  • Then doubleclick it to start the tool
  • A Notepad file containing the report will open, also found at %systemdrive%\Rooter.txt (Where %systemdrive% is usually C: or the drive that you have installed Windows). Post that in your next reply.

Please also post a new HJT log.

Thanks
Hi mlawre, Do you still require assistance? Threads not replied to by the OP once help is offered will be closed after 5 days of inactivty. Thanks
