ok I went to watch a video yesterday and it stated I needed to install some new pluggin. Well after that I started getting pop ups. I ran spybot and adware it removed a few things. Tracking cookies for the most part i believe. Well now the pop ups stopped but I keep hearing sounds of ads like "congratulations you won a new ipod" I do not see any windows pop up. I've also ran windows defender and there malware tool. Nothing comes up with those. Another problem I'm having is clicking on links or even right clicking on things to cut or copy. This happens in firefox and chrome. Here is a hijack log

Hello and welcome to Posted Image

Please be advised, as I am still in training, all my replies to you will be checked for accuracy by one of our experts to ensure that I am giving you the best possible advise.
This may cause a delay, but I will do my best to keep it as short as possible.

I am checking your HJT log and will post back shortly with instructions.
Hi scrap,

I see you do not have an antivirus program installed. This has left your system open to infection.

An Anti-Virus product is a necessity, before we begin a fix, I suggest you download ONE of these free programs and install it:
Avira AntiVir.
Avast,
AVG,

  • set whichever AV you choose to receive automatic updates. If you select AVAST run a bootscan after install and post the resulting log.

NOTE: DO NOT install more than one anti-virus program. They will conflict, and provide less protection, not more.

NEXT

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Full Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected. <– very important
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart. (See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.

Extra Note:If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process,if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.

Next

Please download RSIT by random/random and save it to your Desktop.

  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run it.
  • Before you click "Continue", make sure you change the List files/folders created or modified to: in the last 3 months
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open.
  • Please post the contents of both log.txt and info.txt in your next reply.

In your reply I need

  • MBAM report
  • both RSIT logs
  • AV report (if you have one)
  • Do you still need help with your machine?

  • If the instructions are unclear or you are experiencing other difficulties, please let me know.
NOTE: Topics that remain unreplied to after FIVE days from the date of my original response, will be closed due to inactivity.
