[Resolved] About to use Sledgehammer on computer

I screwed something up really good. I got something on my computer that is keeping me from accessing things that could get rid of it. if I click on a link some strange program redirects me to a random website. If I try to go to any antivirus or these forums, I'm told that something is blocking the connection. I ran my AVG antivirus and it proceeded to delete its own web shield and resident shield functions so that It made things worse until I deleted the AVG. I even tried to use the System Restore, but when I got to the screen where you hit next to start the restore, the computer will not recognize me hitting the next key. I was lucky enough to be able to run HiJackThis and send it to my work e-mail so I could post it to the forums, otherwise I can't even get to the main page. I ran a scan on my internet connection and the system told me that my HTTP and HTTPS were connecting fine but my FTP… FPS… something like that … was not able to connect and there was something blocking it.

Any help would be appreciated

Apologies in the delay in a response. We are overwhelmed with logs at the moment and there aren't enough helpers to go around. If you still require help, please do the following:

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.
  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS.txt will open.
  • Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

  • Post the contents of the DDS.txt report in your next reply
  • Attach the Attach.txt report to your post by scrolling down to the Attachments area and then clicking Browse. Browse to where you saved the file, and click Open and then click UPLOAD.
Please describe how your computer is behaving at the moment, listing any symptoms and problems that you are experiencing.

I have been able to resolve the problem on my own. My brother who works in IT just came back from his military assignment and helped me fix the issue. thank you for your concern
