I just want to say hello of course, for I am new and too publicly offer a great deal of thanks to LDTate, for through his solution post,
http://forums.whatthetech.com/popup_adv_ne…ion_t98281.html

I finally got rid of the last vestiges of a nasty choice.

OH BOY:
I scanned the file, with SpyBot and Norton and nothing came up. I opened the file in question hoping to find one thing and getting another.

W32.Tidserv

Immediately I was thrown into managing this nuisance.

Long story short I thought I had gotten rid of it. It placed itself everywhere on every drive of the machine, but I thought I had gotten it all.

In time I became familiar with the address mtn5.goole.ws

I would get crazy pop-ups only partially blocked in Firefox. So – on my laptop, uninfected I started searching for a way to remove this. Next to diet plans, spyware removal is runner up for misleading b_llsh_t pages.

Funny – I tried to load the solution page on the other machine and almost IMMEDIATELy got redirected to some ad site.

Long story short – I got the tools – followed the directions and that is that.

Thanks again,
