PROBLEM RESOLVED
Yesterday IE6 started bringing you to a different virus detection site every time you tried to load a site. Expect when you first started the browser, the home page would load correctly! (?) Firefox V3 does not have any problems. Other than IE messing up, no other issues. NOW IE wont even load any site let alone a fake virus dection/removal site.
Ran S&D; several times - had it fix any problems it found and no longer finds anything. ESET never did find anything, even tried Norton - nadda. (d/l norton as a last resort thing)
Could someone please give me some pointers? I am a complete noob as far as this sort of stuff is concerned.
EDIT: just ran Malwarbytes anti malware, found 8 items, removed them, fixed the problem
