this is actually the second time posting so I do not know if the other stayed or the redirect to the newer version of hijackthis voided the other submission. my main concerns are that since I have gottenthis comp (from a rent to own place) I have had an error pop up saying c:\program~1\mywebs~1\1.binm3plugin.dll cannot be found or somethign like that. I wrote down the dll but not the word for word message. I also have been havign problems with every once in a while when I click out of mobsters on myspace it ends up op0ening the page over and over and over agian till my comp says enough and well crashes. my last real concern is for a new comp I seem to be using alot of system resources! I typically have 80% with no windows open adn standard yahoo IM open although it does nto see mt aht yahoo takes much in the process tab. I have listed the report I got for m the newer version of hijack below but it did come up with some kind of errors mid way thru. I am sorry I did not understand them adn they were rather lengthy. If whom ever helps out need me to transcribe it I will no problem.

please help if you can.

I thank you in advance

Hi shellsonus.
My name is revel and I will be working with you to resolve the issues you're experiencing.

As I am still in training, all of my instructions must be checked by one of our malware experts before they are given to you. Thus, there may be some delay in responding. I know that you would like your computer working as quickly as possible and I will work hard to see that happen.

Before we begin, please review these important notes:
  • The fixes are specific to your machine and should only be used for the issues on this machine.
  • Please continue to review my answers until I tell you that your machine is clean. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • If you don't understand the instructions, please stop and ask for clarification before proceeding.
  • Continue to reply to this topic; do not start another.

I will be back as soon as possible with instructions.
Hi shellsonus

Please do the following:
  • Uninstall Programs
To Add and Remove Programs in Vista, open Control Panel, click on Programs or Programs and Features. In the program listing, look for entries that contain the following and click Uninstall to remove them:

    My Way Speedbar
    My Web Search
    Fun Web Products
    Search Assistant - My Way

Next, you have Viewpoint installed. Viewpoint, Viewpoint Manager, Viewpoint Media Player are components that are installed as a side effect of installing other software, most notably AOL and AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without user's approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad." This may change, read Viewpoint to Plunge Into Adware.

I recommend that you remove the Viewpoint products; however, decide for yourself. To uninstall the Viewpoint components (Viewpoint, Viewpoint Manager, Viewpoint Media Player):

    • Find the Viewpoint entries in the programs list (outlined above) and click Uninstall for each installed component.
    • Close Control Panel.
