[Resolved] Pop Up Virus disabled windows programs

Lol, its not starting, it gets to the blue screen and the underscore thing just flashes, and nothing else. OK so i used task manager to close all explorer instances and ran "explorer.exe" instead of explorer and it worked and came back. Ill try combofix now. OK heres a wierd one. I started combo fix, it told me it wanted to do an update, then te update failed. Then asked me if i was running CFScript and that it was spelt incorrectly. Now combo fix wont even get to the blue screen, just craps out.

The only thing I can think of is to locate / brower a Windows XP CD and run this:

You can use windows sfc (system file checker) You'd need your XP CD to make this work.
Click Start> Run> type sfc /scannow Note the space.
(Note that there is a space between sfc and /scannow)
