kind regards,
Truth, If it doesn't show up in Installed Programs, still go through with using the programs Tallin suggested, afterward, I suggest you open your system drive (Usually C:\) and take a look at these folders to see if it is still lingering there. C:\Program Files\Windows Messenger (or \any thing related to Windows Messenger that you know is safe to delete) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data (this is where I have found stuff before, check if there's a Windows folder in Application Data and look in there to). C:\Documents and Settings\YOURUSER\Application Data (same comment as before) After deleting anything folders with Windows Messenger, you should run a search through your whole C:\ just to be safe. Double Click My Computer, then C:\ Fixed Drive, and then press Ctrl + F. I suggest putting in "messenger.*" or "windowsmessenger.*". Use * as a wildcard to allow anything on the end, beginning, or any extension. Search for any words you know that are associated with it. Then look at the results and if you find one that you think is related, don't delete it, instead look at the file path and go to the folder and check the folder, if it is a folder of windows messenger files then delete the whole folder. Also, in between uninstalling the program and re-installing it, make sure to reboot.
