Hi,
I am having problems with my computer running slowly and some microsoft programs not opening files correctly. I have reloaded the entire Microsoft office 2003 suite but it does not seem to make any difference. I also get a lot of errors when using the internet. Can you please take a look at the below hijack this file to see if I have picked any viruses etc up.

Thanks

Kind Regards

Hello glaciator

Welcome to the Whatthetech Malware Removal Forum, sorry about the delay, but the amount of people posting with infected computers is through the roof and sometimes we can't get to logs as fast as we would like to.

I remember helping you back in 2006. Your log looks ok although HJT is outdated, lets do a few things

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune to your desktop.
  • This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
Your system may start up slower after running ATF Cleaner, this is expected but will be back to normal after the first or second boot up
Please note: If you use online banking or are registered online with any other organizations, ensure you have memorized password and other personal information as removing cookies will temporarily disable the auto-login facility.

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.
  • Close all applications and windows.
  • Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
  • When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
  • Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and the extra.txt to your post. in your reply
Hi Ken545, Thank you for replying with your offer of help, I too remember the last time you helped me out. I have completed the ATF cleaner part but the link to DSS does not work (on my computer anyway) Is there any other way I may access the program in order to return the log files so you can take a look? Kind Regards Glaciator.
Sorry about that, Deckards has been pulled for an upgrade, you can run this one instead

  • Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<info.txt (<
Hi Ken,
Please find the files below.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards
Glaciator
