Over the last few months, my MS Office applications are often slow to respond. Also, I'm looking for anything and everything that I can clean up. The only programs I need when I start up are Zone Alarm and Symantic. I restarted my computer and ran HJT: Thanks a lot!

Also, my laptop is only 8 months old and the battery life is about 75% of the original life. I this normal, or are there background processes running that might be causing this?
Sorry for the delay
If you still need help and haven't posted at another forum.

Download and install AVG Anti-Spyware (ewido). Then scan and save the log from the scan.
Instructions and download link can be found here.

Then run this online scan. Save the report.

Rescan with HJT and post a new log with the results from AVG .
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
