for a few weeks now, my spyware doctors hasnt detected anything on my computer, which is really confusing for me because it has always managed to find spyware pretty often. i always do smart update, but it still doesnt ever find anything. is my computer actually that clean? or is there something wrong with my spyware doctor? also, can this have anything to do with upgrading to firefox 3? cuz this upgraded around the same time this started happening i would appreciate anything you guys know
I would not think upgrading FF broke anything - but perhaps it changed some of your default settings. Outside of a few tracking cookies, most of which are no more than annoying, what types of spyware were you frequently finding? What is your "real-time" security setup?

Even though I have "active scanning" programs running full-time, every couple weeks, or whenever I have doubts, I manually scan my computers with "supplemental" scanners. These extra tools I use for "on-demand" scanning, just to make sure my full time defenses are working fine, and that I did not accidentally open the door and let something in.

There's no need to scan through potentially 1000s of temporary Internet files so I recommend you do a thorough cleaning of all the crud in your system using Windows Disk Cleanup or the like first, then scan with a good scanner, such as Malwarebytes's Anti-Malware (MBAM) (make sure you check for the latest upgrades before scanning).
is it ok to install another scanner while i have spyware doctor? i tried to install Malwarebytes's Anti-Malware but i froze at the end of installation and had an error when i tried to run it
