Greetings.

Recently, with help from this forum, I helped my parents remove an "Anti Spy Check" infection from their computer. After performing all of the steps, I figured I'd do all of the same things to my own pc. Some of the steps seemed like great things to do to provide myself with additional protection. One of the steps was to download and run smitfraud.exe.

Here are the links to the instructions that I followed:
http://forums.whatthetech.com/How_To_Remov…eck_t92654.html
http://forums.whatthetech.com/Anti_Spy_Che…p;hl=anti+check

My PC was clean. None of the tools (like Kaspersky scan and Malware Bytes) found any problems. But now my Anti-virus program (McAfee Virus scan enterprise 7.0.0) is reporting two infections. See my VirusScanResults.jpg attachment for a picture of the results of the virus scan.

The Virus scanner moves the files to c:\quarantine. They are named A0076762.exe and A0076763.exe and their sizes and date stamps are the same. I don't know for sure, but I have a hunch that these two executables are actually smitfraud.exe. The icon does appear to be the smitfraud icon.

If I delete these files and run the virus scanner again, they just come back and I get the same results as indicated in my VirusScanResults.jpg attachment. My pc appears to be functioning fine otherwise.

I have the Windows XP firewall turned on. I have Zone Alarm firewall also, for outbound internet protection. I have spywareblaster, spywareguard, ad-aware, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and Spybot installed on my pc.📎VirusScanResults.jpg

Here is my Hijack This! log. Can anyone help me get rid of these two executables?
