I've been having some issues with svchost.exe. Every once in awhile, for no apparent reason, svchost.exe will use up 100% of my system resources. If i end the process, It just uses another instance of svchost.exe and continues to use 100% of my system resources. Eventually, after ending a couple svchost instances, it goes back to normal. Usually after, my wireless zero configuration service stops. Also, my toolbar switches to "classic" and then back to normal. I believe that this is affecting my wireless connection as well. My wireless signal started becoming unreliable and usually hangs at 1mbps. This may or may be the cause of the frequent svchost issues. Not sure if this is a virus/malware issue, but i thought i would start here.
