XP multiple users w media active x work for only 1

We have 5 xp users (SP3) one seems to work, active X, Windows media etc A couple of the other users are also Computeer Administrator privs but it does not work On those it says to insall the new version of java but the install does not work, nore does the Active X work Any idea how to give all users the ability to run windows medai and Active X from within IE? thanks

Hello, I was looking at this, and could not decide if you have one (1) machine with five (5) users, or five machines. Do you have a pop up blocker set that stops the down load? Why do you have several Admin accounts? Please give me some more information so that I can properly research this issue.

Thanks for the reply. We have one PC with 5 users. One of the admin users works the other does not along with the regular users. I thought if windows media and or Active X was loaded by an admin user it should work for all users on the PC? thanks

Yes it should.
It does not make sence that the user acounts are corrupt, however, have you tried creating a new user acount to see what happens?
You may have to delete the existing accounts (not the admin) and create new ones.
Lets try with one new account please.
