There is an option in Secunia PSI has checked display only easy to patch items. When I uncheck it I found 1 item. Now I know this isn't even a problem, but if I can I would like to see if I can resolve the insecure program it's detecting. What it's detecting is a program called Adobe Flash Player 9.x (General-Plugin). When you click the option it has to enter the program in question's folder, the file path is: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS3\browser\plugins. Within this folder there are 2 files. One is called NPSWF32.dll and PlugDef.dll. Do I just delete this folder, or how do I resolve this insecure program? I've tried the update link Secunia gives for the program, but the detected program in the Insecure tab does not go away. The only other Adobe programs I have listed in Add/Remove programs are: Adobe Flash Player ActiveX, Adobe Flash Player Plugin, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe Fireworks CS3, and Adobe Stock Photos CS3. So how do I resolve the insecure program? Thanks.
Hi, Before you uninstall Adobe Flash Player (which is a very useful programme) it might be best for your to update it and then run Microsoft update and install all recommended updates. Regards paws
I wasn't going to uninstall. I asked should I delete the folder I spoke of, update another way, or waht. Now even before this I had already downloaded the latest Adobe Flash player for both Firefox and Microsoft Internet Explorer. I've been to Windows Update and there are no new updates to grab. I've again tried to download the update Secunia PSI gives for this item, but though I tell it to rescan, the insecure program Adobe Flash Player 9.x (General Plugin) still appears.
