My computer has become very sluggish. It often freezes for short periods or the sursor or pointer will lag. It seems like another program has started. When I check the task manager, it shows nothing except the program I am in. Internet Explorere has become extremely slow, so I have started using Firefox, but that also seems to be slowing.
I have anduse NOrton 360 religously. I also have and run Adaware, Spybot, Malwarebytes Anti malware, Super Antispyware free edition, and MG Tools. I clean my cookies, cache, and temp files each time I log off the internet.
I have an eMachine T3256 with 1 GB of ram and 2 hard drives, the C drive is a 160 GB and the D drive is a 120 GB. There is plenty of space available.
I hope you can help me! I am a better than average user but need your assistance.
