Hi Bri and welcome to the WTT forums
I see that you have posted an HJT log over in the malware removal forum and that Scotty is taking a look at it and analysing what needs to be done…..he will get back to you as soon as he can.
P2P file sharing is a well known route for the distribution of malware, malicious code and undesirable or harmful elements, and whilst it's impossible to say categorically, that the infections came from P2P shared material, it's usually first in line as a suspect!
I will refrain from offering any advice here on this forum until Scotty has helped you clean your machine as we don't want to make his job any more difficult than it is already…..its tough enough as it is!
Once your machine is declared clear of infection, then please feel free to post back here in this forum if you still have issues with your computer, and we will do our best to help.
