Newbie with a gripe

Hello everyone, i just got your addy this AM. This site comes highly recommended. Here's my little but very annoying issue. My new Vaio with vista xp is messing with me. :pullhair: Allof a sudden I have all these BS "little engine" pages.There are a million of them.It's pissing me off.I can rarely just click Netflix or the Imdb or Drudge without getting two or three little "helper" pages inbetween.Most of the time they will be totally unrelated to what I'm searching for.It's nutz.I use Google exclusivly because the other engines are a waste of time BUT now even with Google you click on exactly want to want and get a blank white screen with the word continue in the top left then some bullship page that's going to help me.It doesnt help it just wastes time and pisses me off.I have to backup and try 2 or 3 times before I get to the site.What's up with that?

Vista can be frustrating for a user trying to get used to it for the first time, but your frustrating difficulties sound as if the machine has possibly become infected with adware and possibly browser hijacks.

Sorry you're having such a hard time of it right now.

Let's see if we can get the machine cleaned up.
Then we can assist with whatever system related difficulties might need to be addressed.
