I have very slow response with interenet plus the following symptoms:

CSRSCC.exe, winlagons.exe, winlogons.exe and 16813264722.exe asking for interenet access (have refused throught zone alarm)
pictures on browser pages not displaying (can reveal them by clicking on show picture but have to do one by one)

I have used spybot and here is my latest hijack log:

Hi,

Welcome to What the Tech.

Step 1

  • Download FileFind.zip by Atribune and save it to your desktop.
  • Locate the FileFind.zip that you've downloaded earlier.
  • Right click on FileFind.zip and select Extract All….
  • Click Next on seeing the Welcome to the Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard.
  • Click on the Browse button. Click on Desktop. Then click OK.
  • Once done, check (tick) the Show extracted files box and click Finish.
  • Double click on FileFind.exe to run it.
  • Enter userinit.* into the File: box.
  • Click on the Search button.
  • When done, click on the Export button.
  • This will create a Notepad file named Export.txt located in C drive.
  • Please copy and paste it to your next reply.

Step 2

If you already have SDFix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.

  • Please download SDFix by AndyManchesta and save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on SDFix.exe. By default, it will install to C:\.
  • Click on Install.

Please print out or save this set of instructions as you will not have internet access during the fix.

Next, boot into Safe Mode.

  • When you see BIOS screen, start pressing F8.
  • A boot menu will appear shortly.
  • Using the up down arrows, select Safe Mode and press the Enter key.
  • Windows will now load.
  • Log in to your usual account.
  • Navigate to C:\SDfix (if you installed it to the default location, otherwise, locate where you installed it)
  • Double click on RunThis.bat
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any key to reboot.
  • When the PC restarts the tool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load, the SDFix report will open on screen. You can also find the report in SDFix folder, named Report.txt.

Step 3

  • Please download and install CCleaner Slim.
  • Once installed, double click on the desktop shortcut created.
  • On the leftmost column, click on Tools.
  • On the middle column, click on Uninstall.
  • At the bottom right hand corner, click on the Save to text file… button.
  • By default, it saves this file to C:\Program Files\CCleaner named install.txt. You may want to save it to your desktop to find it easily. Click Save.
  • Close CCleaner.
Note: Doing this will not uninstall any programs. It will only produce a log of installed programs on your computer.

Step 3

In your next reply, please post:

  • SDFix report (C:\SDFix\report.txt)
  • Results of FileFind (C:\Export.txt)
  • A new HijackThis log
  • CCleaner install.txt file
OK here are the files you requested; while waiting for a response I also ran a couple of antivirus pgms - malwarebytes and EST

Hi: The MS tool won't run on my machine; claims invalid product key. I bought it as is at an auction and while it is an HP machine, it didnt come with any cds so I don't know anything about the status of the OS. Any other ideas? Peter
Looks like that caused problems.

Since your copy of Windows isn't legal, I'm afraid I can't help any further.

You can call up MS to ask on how to get a legal copy of Windows.

Or just use Linux. A list of Linux distributions can be found on Distrowatch.

Some easy-to-use Linux distributions include OpenSuse, Fedora Core, Ubuntu and Pardus.
