I apologize in advance if this question has been previously posted. I did a search and could not find the same problem.
After clicking on a video page I was alerted that:
System error!
Your computer was infected by an unknown trojan.
It's dangerous for your system
Click ok to download antispyware program
I clicked ok, just to find out what the program was and found I was infected with Adware.Winfixer. I did not proceed from here and pressed cancel. After doing some research I decided to download SPYBOT SEARCH & DESTROY in an attempt to remove the spyware.
I did a scan with Spybot which found the problem - Win32.Agent.guv
I had Spybot remove this but the problem persisted with above System error pop ups. I have used SPYWARE DOCTOR and WINDOWS DEFENDER as well and found nothing else. The following day the problem persisted and I did another scan with SPYBOT and found and removed the same problem again - Win32.Agent.guv
I can't seem to find a solution to get rid of this spyware which in addition to the obvious continual pop ups has drastically slowed the speed of my machine.
If you could please provide any advice, it would be greatly and sincerely appreciated. Thank you so much for your time and shared wisdom!!
