I really do appreciate the time that you take even to consider my computer problem, whether you can help or not, you guys are a great bunch of guys giving a service for free and with courteousness too, it feels better than a paid service that often have beatdown computer techs just doing it for the money and not caring at all that the computer malfunction is giving the user great discomfort.
I feel only posting now my gratitude now, as also being selfish, there's no denying that, but there's no denying that there is gratitude felt from so many people that go unsaid so I thought I would.
Here is my problem. I have a Dell Inspiron 1520, am running Windows XP SP2, Bitdefender, Diskeeper installed most of Dell bloatware, but I actually liked some of them, like the webcam centre, so there's a few that I kept.
I have done to available updates for windows, including for IE.
I was in Korea for about last month, and I installed and played some of the free online games there, but the problems started as I came back to NZ. I mention it because the logs have things like 02jam and netmarble (both sites that provided the games - although I uninstalled both games, seems like the plugins for IE stayed - would like to uninstall those too if possible)
The laptop is in the mid end of laptops, with T7500 processor, 3gb ram etc. but at the speed it' has started to run, there's no benefit to all the expensive hardware.
There's also random quits of internet explorer (regardless of what site I am on), of games I'm playing (e.g Madden, Rainbow 6:Las Vegas).
Also, I had made a mistake while installing the sony ericsson connection manager with my phone, and now everytime I startup my laptop, the connection wizard starts up when there's no physical connection from the laptop to the phone.
