It appears the game Dinner Dash that you had installed was infected and ComboFix deleted its files, therefore if you want to play it again please reinstall it.

Please post a new HJT log and let me know how your computer is running now.
The computer is running better but it is still slow. A new HijackThis log is at the end of this post. These are the HijackThis entries I am suspicious of:

O16 - DPF: {DC75FEF6-165D-4D25-A518-C8C4BDA7BAA6} (CPlayFirstDinerDashControl Object) - http://download-games.pogo.com/online2/pog…sh.1.0.0.80.cab

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=69157
O11 - Options group: [INTERNATIONAL] International*

I would assume I need to fix the O16 entry for diner dash since AVG removed it. I am suspicious of the R1 & R0 entries because when I open IE, I notice several web addresses coming up such as http://pagead2/googlesyndication... and http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink.... then it goes to my home page, http://www.google.com. Sorry, I didn't have a pen handy to capture the full extra addresses but I think you get the drift. These R1 & R0 entries were not in the original log I posted. I am suspicious of the O11 entry because I never added any international options in IE. This entry was not on my original log either so it is something new.

One more thing. After ComboFix ran, the phishing protection service in Norton was damaged and is no longer working. I can fix it but I thought you ought to know in case it has some significance.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

I'm not sure why those entries weren't showing up before but they are legitimate and don't need to be removed. The R entries may look strange but it's related to Microsoft and Internet Explorer, it's not anything to worry about. As for this entry
O11 - Options group: [INTERNATIONAL] International*
it is related to Windows user's outside of USA, when you install Windows it asks you what country you're in and for most user's who choose one other than USA that entry will appear in their HJT log.

You can remove this entry since you no longer have Dinner Dash.
O16 - DPF: {DC75FEF6-165D-4D25-A518-C8C4BDA7BAA6} (CPlayFirstDinerDashControl Object) - http://download-games.pogo.com/online2/pog…sh.1.0.0.80.cab

Please fix Norton's phishing protection as it's important.

Your system seems to be clean of infections so your system being slow is probably related to something else.

Time for some housekeeping
  • Click START then RUN
  • Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.

    • [external image: Posted Image]

  • When shown the disclaimer, Select "2"

The above procedure will:
  • Delete the following:
    • ComboFix and its associated files and folders.
    • VundoFix backups, if present
    • The C:\Deckard folder, if present
    • The C:_OtMoveIt folder, if present
  • Reset the clock settings.
  • Hide file extensions, if required.
  • Hide System/Hidden files, if required.
  • Set a new, clean Restore Point.

Your version of Java is outdated and needs to be updated to take advantage of fixes that have eliminated security vulnerabilities.
Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
  • Scroll down to where it says "Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 4".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • In the Window that opens, select Windows, your Language, check the "agree" box and click Continue.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
    - Examples of older versions in Add or Remove Programs:
    • Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0
    • J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 2
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-6u4-windows-i586-p.exe that you downloaded to install the newest version.

Now here's some advise to help prevent reinfection.

1)Please either enable Automatic Updates under Start -> Control Panel -> Automatic Updates , or get into the habit of checking for Windows updates regularly. I cannot stress enough how important this is.

2) In order to protect yourself against spyware, you should consider installing and running the following free programs:

One important thing to note, if you decide to install more than one antispyware program(and at least 2 are advisable these days) please make sure only 1 has resident protection enabled to avoid conflicts, however the latter 2 shouldn't conflict with similar programs or each other.

Spybot-Search & Destroy
A tutorial on using Spybot to remove spyware from your computer may be found here. Please also remember to enable Spybot's "Immunize" and "TeaTimer" features.

SpywareBlaster
A tutorial on using SpywareBlaster to prevent spyware from ever installing on your computer may be found here.

SpywareGuard
A tutorial on using SpywareGuard for realtime protection against spyware and hijackers may be found here.

Make sure to keep these programs up-to-date and to run them regularly, as this can prevent a great deal of spyware hassle.

3) Please consider using an alternate browser. Mozilla's Firefox browser is fantastic; it is much more secure than Internet Explorer, immune to almost all known browser hijackers, and also has the best built-in popup blocker (as an added benefit!) that I have ever seen. If you are interested, Firefox may be downloaded from here:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

4) Also make sure to run your antivirus software regularly, and to keep it up-to-date.
