Hi, i've faced the same problem as lillypadsmom who posted this thread:
http://forums.whatthetech.com/Popups_say_m…ted_t84789.html

I had the same problem for a week already, after getting Googling my problem i found this site and lillypadsmom said that i should get some personalised help by posting on this forum.

I keep getting pop-ups that say: Windows has detected an Internet attack attempt… clicking on ok takes me here: http://www.safenavweb.com/index.php?sid=50…;pn=5&pid=1. Quoting lillypadsmom, "My browser kept going to Your Privacy Guard…Here is another pop-up I keep getting. "Security Warning Worm.Win32.NetSky detected on your machine"… If I click on 'yes' it also trys to take me to www.safenavweb.com. The site never comes up.

I have ran RVAXO by following the initial instructions in the previous reply, and here is the log:

merryfeet,

Welcome to the forum, this is what I need you to do. Reply to this thread only and not start any new topics or your posts will be all over the forum and we won't be able to keep track of you.

Download Trendmicros Hijackthis to your desktop.
Double click it to install Hijackthis.
Follow the prompts and by default it will install in C:\Program Files\Trendmicro\Hijackthis\Highjackthis.exe
  • Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad
  • Go to Format and make sure Wordwrap is Unchecked
  • Go to Edit> Select All…..Edit > Copy and Paste the new log into this thread by using the Post Reply and not start a New Thread.
DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Good Morning,

Let me tell ya, this is one heavily infected computer, its a wonder it even starts up

Lets get rid of the most serious infection first.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

Please download SuperAntiSpyware
Install the program
  • Run SuperAntiSpyware and click: Check for updates
  • Once the update is finished, on the main screen, click: Scan your computer
  • Check: Perform Complete Scan
  • Click Next to start the scan.
Superantispyware scans the computer, and when finished, lists all the infections found.
Make sure everything found has a check next to it, and press: Next
Then, click Finish

It is possible that the program asks to reboot in order to delete some files.

Obtain the SuperAntiSpyware log as follows:
  • Click: Preferences
  • Click the Statistics/Logs tab
  • Under Scanner Logs, double-click SuperAntiSpyware Scan Log
It opens in your default text editor (such as Notepad)

Please provide the SuperAntiSpyware log in your reply, as well as a new HijackThis log.

Post the SAS log, the SDFix log and a new HJT log, there will be much more to do to get this system clean
Hey Ken, sorry for the late reply, was working on another Macbook for projects and exams the past week. (:

CHeers :)
Good Morning,

Your also infected with RapidBlaster.

We need to make sure all hidden files are showing :
  • Click Start.
  • Open My Computer.
  • Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
  • Select the View tab.
  • Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
  • Uncheck the Hide file extensions for known types option.
  • Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
  • Click Yes to confirm.
  • Click OK.
Once your system is clean, we suggest that you reverse this to keep critical windows files from accidently being deleted.

  • Click Start > Settings > Add/Remove Programs > Control Panel, and select the entry 'RapidBlaster' and click 'Remove'.
  • Go to the Downloaded Program Files folder inside the Windows folder, right-click the 'AInst' item and 'Remove' it. (If the AInst control is not removed, any web page will be able to reinstall Rapid Blaster.)
  • Delete the 'RapidBlaster' folder inside Program Files.

You also want to uninstall MessengerPlus as it come with much bundled garbage, after you uninstall it you can reinstall it if you wish but as you go through the install process do not install anything else that is included with it.

Open Hijackthis to Scan Only, close all open windows including this one , place a checkmark in the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Intranet Explorer] C:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\iexplorer.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [eravirgh] regsvr32 /u "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\eravirgh.dll"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [bwzkpgzs] regsvr32 /u "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\bwzkpgzs.dll"
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSN Explorer] C:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\msnexplorer.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Intranet Explorer] C:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\iexplorer.exe
O4 - Startup: services.lnk = ?

Delete the files in Red

C:\Program Files\RapidBlaster
C:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\iexplorer.exe
C:\windows\system32\drivers\helpsys\msnexplorer.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\eravirgh.dll
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\bwzkpgzs.dll

Now run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner

Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
  • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
  • Standard
  • Scan Options:
  • Scan Archives
  • Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan: Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
Post the log along with a New HJT Log into your next reply.

Post the Kaspersky log and a new HJT log and let me know how your system is behaving now??
Hi, I couldn't find RapidBlaster though; here is the HJT log:
