Hi, to anyone that can help or has had the same problem... my internet has been acting a bit funny recently in a few different areas. 1. After switching on my computer my internet will work fine for around 20minutes and then cut out. By cut out i mean internet explorer won't load any pages, and comes up with page cannot be displayed.... yet... my computer still says its connected to the internet. i should note here i have a wireless router, and i've tried connecting both directly and wirelessly with the same effect (also, all other computers on the wireless network work fine). After that though, programs like msn messenger that run in the background to the internet still work fine. After searching for a solution i've found it may be due to a trojan called 'aspimgr.exe', and have tried removing this program manually in safe mode from the following directories and registries: Delete registry values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\aspimgr HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\sft HELP: Delete files: aspimgr.exe, _check32.bat, ws386.ini Misc: Asprox uses TCP ports 80 and 82. Exact file location: ws386.ini - C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINNT aspimgr.exe - C:\WINDOWS\System32 or C:\WINNT\System32 _check32.bat - C:\Documents and Settings\[Current User]\Local Settings\Temp This worked fine for about two days but then the problem carried on, yet theres no sign of this 'aspimgr' I've also found 'Midash' on this forum site is having the same problem in topic 'Hijackthis log, Please help me ' if thats any help...? 2. these two problems aren't so bad... i can't seem to run flash on some websites. if a flash banner comes up on a website i get an error saying files are missing and internet explorer crashes. i'll get exact details of that when it next happens and i've tried updating and reinstalling flash. 3. this is a bit stupid but i can't log onto facebook (on this computer). when i login it redirects me to the login page. i've tried speaking to them and they just say enable cookies, all of which i've tried but still no luck. After all that i kinda wanna reinstall windows, but its just hassle trying to find somewhere to backup 120gb of stuff. anyway, hope someone can help, anything at all would be really appreciated! Ben
