System very slow to boot up, upload, or open programs Ran Norton 05 (recent update) Ad Aware (recent up date) Spybot S&D lost tool bar and pop ups, but still EXTREAMLY slow to get running What is next step..?? Now I have "updates" ready, but afraid to install /reboot…paranoid after zlob put up realistic pop ups… At present no pop ups, tool bar or issues system "seems" to jump program to program quickly again… Do you think the Norton, Adaware and spybot scans cleaned me up..?? Should I up load the updates..? They claim to be Microsoft Malware removal tool updates..?? Sounds suspicious to me…
OK I may have overreacted to Trojan zlob attack… Updated Norton, and adaware went to safe mode and scanned, qt and deleted… Went main screen, emptyied basket and rescanned…caught two more Zlobs… then clean record… Since then NO problems… Startup issue was an actual MS~ update slowing me down, but I was so paranoid on the trojan and the missdirected popups I was leary to download… All looks good now…You may close/this thread…
