[Lynbarn]

I use MSIE V7, Opera V9 Build 8501, and Firefox V 2.0.0.7 , and all three seem to be suffering from the same problem - web pages take an age to load, or timeout. Opera is probably the least affected. When I run various broadband speed checks (If I can get them to load) they seem to indicate a healthy download speed, (2Meg) from my cable service, but this is not reflected in real-life performance. Other programs (MS Word, Excel, etc) load and run as expected, and Outlook seems to be mostly okay.

I may have been too paranoiud after previous problems with virii etc, or maybe I have set something incorrectly. Can anyone shed some light on what may be going on?

With the above noted, you may benefit from refreshing your Domain Name Service.

Start - Run - (type)cmd - Enter
This will open a DOS type box with a blinking cursor.
At the blinking cursor type:
ipconfig /flushDNS - Enter <-- please notice the required space before the "/"

Then close the DOS box by typing EXIT - Enter

Next:
Go try your browsing again.

Though in my "unqualified opinion" your HJT Log does not show any strongly malicious items, it does contain some junk that can be cleaned up and a few items that need to be identified more specifically.
