:rant2: Here is my log and I am ready to shoot this computer! I have Trend 2007, and every other protection known, and check all each day but PC is so slow I've had it! Please Help! Or… am I in the wrong forum?

Hello MrRam

Copy and Paste this post into a new text document or print it for reference

1. Please note - You do Not want to remove the "Trend Micro" this is fine …… but I think one of the reasons as to why your system is slow could be down to using too many Real-Time products, you may want to consider using just one Anti-Spyware product and WinPatrol for now, Disable or fully uninstalling any remaining Protection software products you don't like.


2. Re-open HijackThis and select "Do a System Scan only" and place a checkmark in the boxes before the following entries:

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O21 - SSODL: eitheror - {2016a466-91a2-43c6-97d8-2fd380f065ef} - (no file)

Close any Explorer windows which may be open and click the "Fix Checked" button.


3. Could you please Open Notepad, (Start | Run, type Notepad)
Click Format from the Notepad menu and ensure "Word Wrap" is NOT selected.

Once you have done this please Re-scan with HijackThis and post the new log and I would also like to ask for information about the Symantec entry in your log
