Hi gochi,

I think the reason you couldn't post all the reports is your Kaspersky log was so long. Most of it being items found in your Trend Micro quarantine folder. They can certainly be removed.

Also,

Please download the OTMoveIt by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it.
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.YOUR-FULKL1OH2Q\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\system.exe
    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\backups\backup-20070811-212121-585-autorun.exe
    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\backups\backup-20070811-212121-721-system.exe

  • Return to OTMoveIt, right click on the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be moved" window and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
  • Copy everything on the Results window to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it on your next reply.
  • Close OTMoveIt
*If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately, you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine, choose Yes.
**If a reboot was necessary or you needed to Exit before posting the log, you will find a copy of the log at the root of the drive where OTMoveIt is installed, usually at :
C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles\********_******.log
(where "********_******" is the "date_time")

Click "Exit" to close OTMoveIt.

AVG AS did not find much.

Now are you staying with Trend Micro for your AV? If so I recommend you uninstall the other programs. I'm still seeing services running for Sophos, and a leftover toolbar for McAfee. But you should try to uninstall them before we remove anything manually with HJT.

Is it running any better now?

Post a fresh HJT log.
Yeah, my computer is running much better now, however google search or any other search engine lags anytime I try searching.I really want my computer to be absolutley free from malware/spyware/viruses.

Here are the two logs

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.YOUR-FULKL1OH2Q\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\system.exe moved successfully.
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\backups\backup-20070811-212121-585-autorun.exe moved successfully.
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\backups\backup-20070811-212121-721-system.exe moved successfully.

Hi Gochi,

I believe at this point your computer is malware free. At least from what I can see. Many things can cause a "lag" in computer speed. Not just malware.

Please do the following though:

1. I had advised you earlier in the thread to update Java and that does not appear to be done. So please do that and make sure all old versions are uninstalled as instructed.

2. You didn't answer my question in the last post about your Antivirus programs.

Now are you staying with Trend Micro for your AV? If so I recommend you uninstall the other programs. I'm still seeing services running for Sophos, and a leftover toolbar for McAfee. But you should try to uninstall them before we remove anything manually with HJT.

Please address that. The extra services and processes that still run for the AV's you don't use will slow down performance.

I would like to see the following also…
We are going to use HJT to create a list of your currently installed programs.1. Open HijackThis and click on the Config… button in the "Other stuff" section (lower right hand corner).
2. Click on the Misc Tools button.
3. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager… button.
4. Click on the Save list… button.
5. Save the file uninstall_list.txt to a convinient location. This should open Notepad with the list.
6. Please Copy and Paste the list into your next reply.
Also post a fresh HJT log.

Once we get these issues addressed if it's still running slow then we'll go from there.
