Hello,

Im an avid Online Gamer and recently Ive been experiencing major slow downs and latency while playing online. Even surfing the web has become unbearable as websites take forever to load, or never load at all.

Ive contacted my ISP several times in regards to the issue, each time they say that their signal to me is fine and that the problem is most likely originating on my system in the form of a Virus or some sort of Malware. Ive ran dosens of different virus scanners, spyware killers, and trojan hunters but each time they bring back nothing.

At anyrate, a friend advised me to download Hijackthis to try and get help determining if something on my comp is causing this issue. So, here I am. Thanks in advance for any help

Howdy Omagon,

Welcome to Tom Coyote. No infection showing here. I am assuming you have run scans, and also have checked if disabling protective software improves things (due to active monitoring when games are being played). Before I suggest you take this up at our Other Computer Problems forum let's take one different look to be sure.

Go Here and download Silent Runners to your desktop. Run it, and post back here the log it creates. If your AV queries the script, allow it to run. It's not malicious. It will create a file named Startup Programs, and will notify when the scan is complete. Copy the log from the Startup Programs file back here.
