Computer Shutting Down At Random!
1 min read
Please help! Today i started up my pc as usual, then, it simply shut off by itself! I tried restarting it, it started up, and in a few minutes, shut off again. It happens randomly and whether i'm at the keyboard or not. There does not seem to be one action or program that causes this. Also, several times during my operation of it, the pc acts as though power to it has stopped, then, it comes back again. I've checked all of my wires, connections to electricity, and connections, all are secure. Here is the header of my Hijackthis scan log below, and ANY help with this matter will be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Before you post over to the Malware Removal Forum, will you do something else first please?
Run a Full Tests at PCPitstop and post the Results back here.
Your problem/symptoms "could" be malware, but more likely point to:
Corrupted Device Driver
Memory problem
fragmented Hard Drive
bad-clusters on Hard drive
And Most Prominently — Heat problems.
Is this a laptop or Desktop?
How long has it been since you…
–cleaned out the dust bunnies
–defragged the Hard Drive
–cleared out the Temp, TMP and temporary internet files
After you post the link to your PCPitstop Full Tests, we'll have a much better idea of what may be going on with your machine.
GoTo:
http://www.pcpitstop.com
Full Tests is the first item in the left-hand column
Register with a valid email address and create your own password
Accept the ActiveX to enable your machine to run the tests
Post the "TechExpress" link to your Results, back here into this Forum thread.
We may be sending you on to the Malware Forum, but not just yet.
Best Regards
