Yeah, that's what I said,

but

I'd been itching for a little upgrade and I tested the memory, cpu, video and sound cards on an older Motherboard and they booted, but the old motherboard wouldn't boot from my SATA drives where I have the operating system.........bummer.


the motherboard is shot....I was upgrading the heatsinks on my video but one dropped off and zap!!!

so, now I'll upgrade from AGP to PCI x-16 and go from 12 pipes to 20 and from 8x to 16x

also I'm making the slight incremental step from a 754 pin to a 939 pin AMD64 from 3700 to 4000 and that will let me use both channels of my memory, but I'll save the 2gigs of memory and not have to upgrade to ddr2, yet.....also the three hard drives all 1.5 Gb SATA altogether about 500 Gb will work with the motherboard...going from an EPOX nvidia nforce 3 250 G to a MSI K8N Neo4-F Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 so I hope that the little incremental step will help performance

thanks I'll post once I get the system back up I also did the latest virtuomonde tool and it detected and deleted all sorts of stuff....... that seemed to get rid of the advertising voice, but then a day later I broke the motherboard, so I couldn't fully test all my routes....... until I'm back up and flying again........ thanks also-----I promote this site, it is the best fix it I have ever found the free tools and short lessons on fixing infections and stuff RULES!! thanks again.
