Welcome to the OK Corral, Doc :wavey:

The Earp brothers, Wyatt, Morgan, and Virgil (AKA Me, Myself, and I) are here to get Ike Clanton, Johnny Ringo, and all the rest of the Clanton Gang off your back!!!

Your computer has been hijacked by people in the Ukraine. What you have is a Wareout infection.

85.255.112.0 - 85.255.127.255
Inhoster hosting company
OOO Inhoster, Poltavskij Shliax 24, Kharkiv, 61000, Ukraine

Please download FixWareout from one of these links:
Fixwareout.exe
Fixwareout.exe

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

* Save it to your desktop and run it.
* Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
* The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
* You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
* Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
* Once the desktop loads a text will open (report.txt). We'll need that in a bit.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):
(Note: Fixwareout.exe may have removed some of these)

F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=userinit.exe

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {196B9CB5-4C83-46F7-9B06-9672ECD9D99B} - (no file)

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Delete all of the following noted (in red) file(s)/FOLDER(s) you can find:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\winmuse.exe <--- file
(Take that, Johhny Ringo!!!)

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)

Also open this file with Notepad:

C:\fixwareout\report.txt

And paste it's contents into your next post.

:)

Thanks for the help bro. I'm a member of Jesus' gang too. I did what you said but now i lost my wallpaper and can't figure out how toget it back. I read somewhere that said to check the use web page as back ground but it's not set to use that when I checked it. so i ran fix wareout again, it's the second fixware out log.

Download Killbox from here:

Killbox.zip © Option^Explicit

Unzip it, but don't run it yet.

Copy the file names in the quote box below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing
<Ctrl>C (hold the <Ctrl> key down, then press C):

C:\winstall.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\per.exe

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!
Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ControlPanel] C:\WINDOWS\system32\per.exe internat.dll,LoadKeyboardProfile

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows installer] C:\winstall.exe

Then click "Fix checked", and close Hijack This!

Run Killbox, click File (in the upper left of Killbox), and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

After the reboot, "copy/paste" a new HijackThis! log file into this thread. :)

Also, please go here:

VirusTotal Online File Scanner

And submit this file for a virus scan:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\CSBOB.EXE

Let me know the results.

The log looks good. :thumbup:

Please copy the contents of the following quote box into Notepad:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"WallpaperStyle"=-
"Wallpaper"=-
"NoDispBackgroundPage"=-
"NoDispAppearancePage"=-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
"Wallpaper"=-
"WallpaperStyle"=-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoActiveDesktopChanges"=-
"NoActiveDesktop"=-
"NoSaveSettings"=-
"ClassicShell"=-
"NoThemesTab"=-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop]
"NoChangingWallPaper"=-

Save it to your desktop as fixme.reg

Then, locate fixme.reg on your desktop and <double-click> it.

You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?".

Answer 'Yes' and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully"

Delete this file:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\CSBOB.EXE

Reboot.

See if you can change the wallpaper now.
