For about a week now I have had quite a few problmes with my computer. It has been covered in popups and I believe I have some sort of hijacker as well. Everytime I start up I get an error notification about C:/Program Files/func.js. My AVG Anti-Spyware also finds Hijacker.Small.jf everytime. I have tried to run my spyware and antivirus programs in Safe Mode but it does not seem to do anything. I have been getting some popups that say Powered by ZEDO if that helps. For a few days I had bad problems with OuterInfo but it doesn't seem to be happening as much now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Here is a copy of my HijackThis log:

Hi,

Your system is terribly infected. Problem with these infections nowadays is, it causes a lot of damage. Even if we clean the malware off your system, I can't guarantee that your system will be clean afterwards, because these infections/bundles leave a lot of leftovers behind that most scanners won't even recognise and logs won't show.
Also, I can't promise you we can repair all the damage it caused… Even after cleaning the malware, you can still get errors afterwards because of the damage. Solving these is not always possible since it will be searching for a needle in a haystack to find the right cause and solution.
So, we can try to clean this up and do what we can, but keep in mind that we can't solve ALL problems this malware already caused.

In light of this it would be wise for you to back up any files and folders that you don't want to lose before we start. Reason I am telling this is because when a system is so terribly infected and we try to clean this up manually, the damage that is already present may interfere with our removal attempts.

I also notice from the log that there are running more than one different Anti-Virus programs with Auto-protect enabled. AVG and McAfee. I also see you're in the progress of installing Zonealarm on top as well.
Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with eachother, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

So you have to make a decision here and keep the Antivirus you prefer and uninstall the other one.
Then reboot after uninstalling.

Then, Go to this page.
Enter the url of this thread in the first field.
Where it says, browse to the file that you want to submit, click the browse button next to it and browse to next file:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\CryptUI32.dll

Select it and click ok
Then click the Send File button below.

Then, * Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), combofix will open again to gather the necessary information for the log. This may take a bit. When done, Combofix will close and a log should open, combofix.txt.
Post the contents of this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.
Thanks for the file. This certainly doesn't look healthy as all your passwords (including your mailaccounts) are known.
The fact that your Windows is UNPATCHED will make it even harder to get rid of all the malware, since we will rather run around in circles… especially with this nasty malware cocktail present here.
To be honest here, if that was my system, I would format and reinstall. Then you can be sure that you can trust this system again and no errors will be present.
But the choice is yours ofcourse. If you decide to clean this up manually, then you'll have to accept the fact that you may never trust this system anymore and you'll also have to accept the fact that we won't be able to fix all damage that was been caused.
Since there is no feedback anymore, I assume this issue is resolved … so, this Topic is closed. If you need this topic reopened for continuations of existing problems, please request this by sending me a PM with the address of the thread. This applies only to the original topic starter. Everyone else please begin a New Topic.
